In October 2017, one of the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) most recent aircraft acquisitions, the HATS EC-135, conducted its inaugural First of Class Flight Trials to the Multi-role Aviation Training Vessel, MV Sycamore, off the coast of Cairns. The EC-135 is equipped with Flight Test Instrumentation developed by Prism Defence.
All contemporary Australian Defence Force helicopters (MH-60R, MRH90, ARH, CH-47F and EC135) conduct First of Class Flight Trials using Prism’s SHOL development software, HeliSHOLDS, and ship motion limitations developed using Prism’s 6DOF DeckSAFE modelling capability.
