In conjunction with the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF), Prism Defence completed a successful First of Class Flight Trial on November 12, 2017. The Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) contracted Prism Defence to undertake a Ship Helicopter Operating Limits (SHOL) trial with the Royal Danish Air Force MH-60R Seahawk helicopter operating to the Royal Danish Navy Absalon Class Flexible Support Ship (FSS).
The objective of the trial was to expand safe operating limits to support day and night operations for the aircraft, along with deck handling and facilities assessments. A wide range of relative wind conditions were encountered and all objectives of the FOCFT were met throughout the course of the 13-day trial.
